Mayan-Inspired Architectural Vision
Candela is the result of the extraordinary, environmentally conscious vision of Architects Salvador Macias and Magui Peredo of Estudio Macias Peredo. The residential offering pays homage to Tulum’s ancient Mayan culture and long-celebrated traditions in both look and feel.
Encircling a central, tree-lined arboretum designed for gathering and relaxing, the villas resemble the region’s ancient Mayan archeological ruins. They follow a pyramidal structure, rising amidst the trees to maximize 360° views of the surrounding jungle.

Naturally Inspired Materials
Honoring the natural environment, the Candela villas are designed to harmonize with their jungle surroundings and showcase locally sourced, organically inspired materials, such as wood and natural stone. The lush foliage becomes part of the living experience, as light filters in through the trees to alter the feeling inside as the sun moves across the jungle each day.

Made for Life in Tulum
The Candela villas were envisioned to accommodate the celebrated Tulum lifestyle, making the most of the outdoors and the fantastic tropical climate. Private pools, verandas, rooftop terraces and heated spaces offer ample opportunity to relax, unwind and entertain day or night. The villas offer absolute privacy, while the vision for Candela as a whole is reminiscent of an ancient Mayan village, fostering a sense of community.
